IIMUN XII will be held at Trabuco Hills High School on Saturday, March 26th, 2022. Please be sure to be ready to represent your country as a delegate, as well as follow Western Business Attire when attending the conference. We would also like to state that laptops, tablets, and smartphones are allowed in the committee during the formal resolution writing process. All electronic devices must be kept in full view of the chair, and all delegates found using the technology for purposes other than resolution writing will be referred to their advisors.
As a delegate, please be sure to understand your country’s roles and positions within the committee, as well as bring with you any necessary research and policy statements. Please note that position papers are required in order to be considered for an award. Awards will be handed out based on merit, ability, and cooperation, not aggressive or intimidating tactics. Knowledge of your country’s position is essential in committee; our chairs are trained to recognize and help delegates who are out-of-policy.
Pre-written resolutions are not allowed, and the chairs reserve the right to see what is open in your laptop window if we suspect you to have a pre-written resolution. Bear in mind that one of the main goals of Model United Nations is to understand the viewpoints and policies of countries within the UN, and so it is imperative that you strive to fulfill your country’s best interests.
