The United Nations Human Rights Council is a United Nations body that seeks to promote and protect human rights around the world. The council has actively looked at humanitarian law violations through events such as the Myanmar and Lebanon conflicts, offering advice, condemning atrocities, and providing aid. Since its establishment on March 15, 2006, the council has become a leader in promoting humanitarian rights and ensuring standards are met through a committee of 47 elected members.
